Autism diagnosis: When someone like a doctor or a psychologist does testing. Their testing finds that someone has autism.

Brain imaging/Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): A strong magnet that takes pictures of the brain.

Genetics: Studying people’s DNA.

Late-diagnosed: In this study, someone who is diagnosed with autism after age 12.

Phenotyping/Phenotyping measure: A test that helps researchers understand someone’s traits or behaviors.
