Community Involvement

We want to make sure that we include autistic perspectives. We do this by listening to autistic people’s voices and focusing on research topics that the autistic community cares about. We have an Advisory Board made up of mostly autistic people. Some people are also parents of autistic people, clinicians, and researchers. They have many different experiences and backgrounds. This study also has autistic team members, who are researchers, students, and trainees. 

Autistic perspectives are really important to understanding what we should be researching. Our partner, ASAN, describes the motto “Nothing About Us Without Us” and what it means.
